Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) is seeking a Sample Receiving Supervisor to oversee daily operations and ensure accurate receipt, login, tracking, and distribution of environmental samples. You will work closely with laboratory management to support efficiency, quality, and customer service.

Requirements include 3+ years in lab sample receiving and 1 year of leadership experience. The role is full-time, on-site in Rhode Island, with a salary of $50,000–$55,000 per year and a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of laboratory, sample receiving, sample login, or related environmental testing experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of supervisory, lead, or team leadership experience preferred.
• Experience with environmental samples, chain of custody review, sample login, and collection kit preparation preferred.
• Experience in an environmental laboratory is a plus.
• Must be able to work standing for most of the day.
• Must be able to lift up to 55 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the Sample Receiving department.
• Ensure accurate receipt, login, tracking, and distribution of environmental samples.
• Support scheduling, timekeeping review, and staffing coordination.
• Provide training, coaching, and support to Sample Receiving personnel.
• Maintain communication with lab departments, project management, and client services teams.
• Adhere to SOPs and QA/QC procedures.
• Monitor productivity, turnaround times, and department performance metrics.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies and customer concerns.
