Job summary

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) in Anchorage, AK is hiring a full-time Sample Control Technician I. You will log, label, and ship samples, prepare kits, and support laboratory operations per DOT and EPA requirements.

The role requires a high school diploma, valid driver’s license, and ability to pass background checks. Expect on-site work with occasional courier duties and potential on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• DOT certificate may be required for shipping hazardous chemicals within 90 days of hire.
• Valid state driver’s license required to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check.
• TWIC card and TSA clearance may be required within 90 days of hire.
• Additional client/location licenses or certifications may be required.
• May drive long periods, up to 8 hours per day.

Responsibilities

• Receive and unload incoming samples per DOT regulations and verify against Chain of Custody.
• Log samples into Lab Management System and distribute paperwork to Project Managers.
• Label and deliver samples to appropriate labs for analysis daily.
• Prepare bottle kits for shipping to clients and ensure EPA/DOT compliance.
• Dispose of spent samples and hazardous materials per procedures.
• Monitor freezer and cooler temperatures daily per SOPs.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment and organize the department.
• Stock supplies and assist with inventory management.
• May perform courier duties to support lab operations.
• Be available for on-call sampling and delivery as needed.
