About The Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Environmental, Safety, & Health Manager to join the Tailored Brands Risk Management team. This position reports to the Director of Insurance, Safety & Risk Management and is responsible for providing company-wide leadership in managing Environmental Safety & Health programs. The Manager will ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations at all stores, distribution centers, and the corporate office. This role involves developing, implementing, and leading ES&H programs to ensure regulatory compliance, incident prevention, and continuous workplace safety improvement. It provides subject matter expertise, fostering a culture of ES&H excellence. This is a hybrid position with three days onsite in Houston or Atlanta, with travel to other locations approximately once a month.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for ES&H matters, ensuring alignment with corporate policies and strategic goals.
  • Develop and oversee programs to ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, ISO standards, and company policies, proactively addressing regulatory changes.
  • Conduct site audits, risk assessments, and workplace reviews across all facilities to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
  • Act as an SME on ES&H regulations, policies, and industry best practices, advising leadership and teams.
  • Lead strategic safety initiatives, ensuring alignment with safety goals and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Analyze safety metrics and incident data to identify trends and develop action plans for risk reduction.
  • Maintain accurate safety records and provide insights for compliance and improvement.
  • Mentor safety coordinators and operational leaders, fostering a safety culture and leadership development.
  • Drive risk mitigation and injury prevention initiatives in collaboration with site leadership.
  • Collaborate across functions to integrate safety best practices into operations.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of safety training and tools through audits and evaluations.
  • Establish emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
  • Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including regulatory agencies and community organizations.
  • Develop initiatives to reduce environmental impact, such as waste reduction programs.
  • Manage safety policies for contractors and suppliers to ensure compliance.
  • Leverage technology and data analytics to monitor safety performance and inform strategies.
  • Oversee the ES&H budget and ensure resources support safety initiatives.
  • Report safety metrics to leadership and regulatory bodies, maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Support additional safety, environmental, and health projects as needed.

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 5+ years in ES&H leadership roles, preferably in distribution, manufacturing, or service sectors; management experience preferred.
  • Retail experience is a plus.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, or similar are preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations, risk management, and compliance.
  • Experience managing ES&H teams, including training and development.
  • Excellent communication skills to convey safety strategies to all levels.
  • Analytical skills and proficiency with safety data and performance metrics.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with OSHA compliance and safety programs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Motivated, detail-oriented, organized, with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with high productivity and accuracy.
  • Ability to conduct investigations confidentially.
  • Flexibility to work nights and weekends as needed.
  • Residence in Houston, TX, or Atlanta, GA.
