Job summary

SolutionHealth is seeking an Environmental Safety Support Specialist to assist the safety department with hazardous materials handling, waste operations, and related surveillance rounds. The role includes coordinating with the DECON team and ensuring compliance with NH requirements.

Two or more years in environmental work within healthcare is preferred; a NH driver’s license is required. This on-site position offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities within the health system.

Qualifications

• Knowledgeable in infection control principles.
• Ability to provide superb customer service to all departments.
• Basic computer data entry skills.
• Capable of multitasking under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Supports hazardous waste handling, including packaging and shipping.
• Attends annual training and acts as back-up HW Coordinator.
• Performs scheduled audits on hazardous materials storage.
• Conducts general hazard surveillance rounds.
• Supports DECON team as required.
• Back-up EHS HW Coordinator per NH requirements.
• Completes environmental audits and waste collections.
• Collects sharps and pharmaceutical waste across locations.
