Job summary

Samsung Electronics America, Inc. is seeking an Environmental Specialist to collaborate with facility management on environmental, health, and safety issues inside and outside a manufacturing site.

You will help direct, implement, monitor, and manage compliance programs, audits, training, and procedures. The role requires a minimum of 2 years in EH&S, knowledge of EPA regulations, strong technical writing, and proficiency in MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in a related field such as Safety, Chemistry, Environmental Science or Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Environmental, Health and Safety.
• Working knowledge of EPA regulations (SWPP, SPCC, Tier II, Title V, NPDES) and company EHS policies.
• Strong technical writing and ability to interpret procedures using MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Support development, management, and implementation of EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
• Administrate and maintain air, water, waste, and chemical activities and compliance programs.
• Perform environmental regulatory audits and advise on compliance with regulations.
• Investigate on-site incidents and property damage to minimize future exposure.
• Advise on compliance issues and report violations to EHS leadership.
• All other duties as assigned.
