Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor is seeking a dynamic Safety Technician to lead safety initiatives at one of the most advanced facilities in the United States. You will identify hazards, implement mitigation strategies, and collaborate with a diverse team to foster a world-class safety culture.

You will perform on-site observations, respond to incidents, oversee scaffolding compliance, and drive continuous improvement through audits and KPI tracking.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Health & Safety roles.
• Associate of Science degree preferred.
• Pursuing CHST, CSHO, ASP or similar credential is a strong plus.
• Hazardous Materials & Regulations – solid understanding of handling and regulations.
• Working knowledge of OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, ISO 45001.
• OSHA familiarity with regulatory requirements and reporting.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily on-site safety observations and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and SAS Site Safety Programs.
• Serve as first responder for on-site injuries/incidents and conduct initial investigations.
• Act as Scaffolding Competent Person and sign off on scaffolding systems.
• Execute Tier I audits and inspections per the EHS program and document closures.
• Review LSM KPI actions and projects; track progress and report results.
