Job summary

State of West Virginia seeks a Senior Technical Analyst to lead restoration efforts linked to historic mining activity. You will research site plans, draft technical documents, and coordinate with state agencies to shape land and water restoration strategies.

The role requires a Master’s degree and at least four years of relevant experience; substitution options apply. Proficiency with AutoCAD and mapping tools is preferred, and you will support bid preparation and staff training.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Four years of professional experience in the specialty area.
• Substitution: graduate training and/or undergraduate training may substitute for required experience.

Responsibilities

• Research site land and water restoration plans in relation to mining permits and provide findings.
• Prepare technical documents for bidding on restoration projects and cost estimates.
• Utilize modeling, drafting, or analysis software to support projects.
• Coordinate with agencies, consultants, contractors, property owners, and the public on projects.
• Advise program management on restoration project issues.
• Provide training to staff on analysis and findings.
• Assist with review of technical documents, submittals, and reports.
• Assist with pre-bid and pre-construction conferences as requested.
