Job summary

The Florida Department of Environmental Protection in Tallahassee is seeking an Environmental Specialist II to provide technical review and support for contaminated site cleanup programs. You will assess contamination data and advise project managers and consultants to ensure compliance with state regulations.

You will also develop technical guidance documents, process contamination notifications, and contribute to rule development related to site remediation.

Qualifications

At least four years of verifiable related experience in engineering, environmental science, or natural sciences.
Knowledge of geology, hydrogeology, chemistry, and Florida groundwater.
Knowledge of contaminated site cleanup techniques and Chapter 62-780 Florida Administrative Code.
Skill in use of computers and MS Office applications.
Ability to write effectively and communicate orally in a clear manner.
Valid driver's license; travel required.
