Job summary

The State of Florida seeks an Environmental Consultant to serve as Project Manager for high-profile remediation sites, including Superfund and state lead cleanup efforts. You'll oversee contracts, reviews, and technical decisions across assessments and remedies, with EPA coordination and statewide guidance.

Applicants should have a strong background in environmental science or engineering, be able to travel, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Four years of verifiable related experience in engineering, environmental science, or natural sciences.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.
• Post-secondary degree may substitute experience on a year-for-year basis.

Responsibilities

• Manage contracts for site assessment and remediation with limited supervision.
• Coordinate with EPA on NPL sites and review technical documents.
• Provide technical guidance on contamination assessments, hydrogeology, and remedies.
• Assist in coordinating site acceptance into State-led cleanup.
• Perform other duties as required.
