Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced project manager with a background in environmental site characterization and remediation to lead complex remediation programs for government and global private-sector clients. Based near Oakland, Sacramento, or Redding, CA, you’ll manage diverse teams and coordinate with technical experts to deliver site strategies and remedial actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in geology, environmental engineering, civil engineering, geotechnical engineering, or a closely related field.
• Experience as a project manager at large, complex sites involving multiple operable units, non‑aqueous phase liquid, and contaminated soil, sediment, and groundwater.
• Experience conducting site investigations/characterizations, remedial investigations, feasibility studies, engineering evaluations, remedial designs/actions, and optimizing remediation systems.
• Experience in identifying and resolving key issues impacting environmental remedy implementation (technical, regulatory, risk, land use, etc.).
• Experience as a project manager providing client consulting services and representing clients to stakeholders such as regulatory agencies, property owners, government officials, and other consultants.
• Familiarity with federal and California state regulations and CERCLA, RCRA, UST, and related regulatory frameworks.
