Job summary

Newport News Nuclear BWXT Los Alamos (N3B) seeks a Work Operations Manager to support water programs, soil remediation, and waste operations across LANL. The role oversees day-to-day operations, safety systems, and work control for ER activities with a focus on planning, coordination, and compliance.

Level 3/4 qualifications require engineering or related degree and 5–11 years of applicable experience, with strong leadership and communication skills to manage complex projects and mentor staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with 5–8 years experience for Level 3; 9–11 years for Level 4.
• Experience in environmental remediation or construction projects desirable.
• Knowledge of Conduct of Operations and environmental regulations.
• Ability to coordinate multiple customers and projects with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct execution of complex engineering/remediation projects.
• Ensure compliance with schedules, specs, and shop drawings.
• Authorize work via ER Plan of the Day and Shift Orders.
• Mentor junior staff and train teams.
