Job summary

The Wyoming Department of Environmental Quality is seeking a professional-level specialist to manage hazardous waste permitting and remediation programs (HWPCA, VRP, BFAP, OSRP) in Cheyenne. You will oversee complex investigations, prepare reports, and coordinate with stakeholders to protect human health and the environment.

Responsibilities include policy development support, auditing, risk assessments, and rulemaking assistance.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, Local environmental laws and regulations.
  • Knowledge of hydrogeologic processes.
  • Knowledge of multiple science and engineering disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Manages multiple complex investigation, remediation projects.
  • Develops environmental compliance assessments and writes detailed reports.
  • Reviews environmental data and makes technical recommendations.
  • Represents agency in meetings and with stakeholders.
