Job summary

Lithium Americas seeks an Environmental & Regulatory Analyst to ensure compliance with laws and industry standards. You will coordinate permitting matters, analyze data, and interact with regulators to support project development at our Reno, NV office. Occasional travel to other sites may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Political Science, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience with environmental and regulatory affairs.
  • Strong writing and analytical capabilities.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with compliance tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Pursue and maintain environmental permits for exploration, lithium production, and processing facilities.
  • Research regulatory frameworks and assess impact on operations.
  • Prepare regulatory submissions and ESG reporting.
  • Develop and implement internal policies related to permitting and ESG.
  • Coordinate with regulators and respond to inquiries.
