Job summary

Lithium Americas is seeking an Environmental & Regulatory Analyst to join our Reno, NV team. You will ensure compliance with laws, coordinate permits for exploration and lithium production, and interact with regulators.

The role reports to the Manager of Sustainability and Engineering and offers opportunities to influence ESG reporting, internal policy development, and risk mitigation across projects. Ideal candidates have a relevant degree and at least two years of regulatory experience and are

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
Two years’ experience in environmental or regulatory affairs or related field preferred.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks, risk management, and compliance tools is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Pursue and maintain environmental permits for exploration programs and lithium production and processing facilities.
Conduct regulatory research to ensure compliance across operations.
Assist in development and implementation of internal policies relating to permitting or ESG.
Prepare and maintain information to support regulatory submissions and ESG reporting.
Analyze regulatory data and prepare reports on trends and permitting risks.
Serve as liaison with regulatory agencies and maintain positive relationships.
