Job summary

Swallowfield Group is seeking an Environmental & Recycling Lead for Groveport, OH, first shift. The role focuses on coordinating waste and recycling operations, promoting sustainability, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements in a manufacturing setting.

You will support cross‑functional teams to drive safety, reduce waste, and improve environmental performance across the facility. Experience with hazardous materials and regulatory standards is preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in environmental waste management, recycling operations, or a related field.
• 2+ years of forklift operating experience.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily recycling and waste management activities ensuring safety, efficiency, and schedule adherence.
• Coordinate collection, handling, transportation, and disposal of hazardous, non-hazardous, and recyclable materials per regulations.
• Mentor Recycling Technicians to drive safety, productivity, and operational excellence.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, equipment, and workflows for better efficiency and sustainability.
• Coordinate with EHS, Facilities, Operations and other departments to reduce waste and costs while minimizing risk.
• Support sustainability initiatives and environmental program implementations.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and corrective actions to comply with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and others.
