Job summary

Environmental Works (EWI) is seeking a results-driven Recruiter to support our Field Services and Emergency Response teams. The Recruiter will work directly with our Operations Managers to understand requirements, review resumes, conduct phone screens, and coordinate interviews.

You will build a strong candidate pipeline for peak seasons, sourcing via referrals, job fairs, college partnerships, and networks, while promoting EWI culture and values throughout the process.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in recruiting or talent acquisition for skilled laborer positions.
• Knowledge of labor legislation and recruiting best practices.
• Hands-on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ADP preferred).
• Familiarity with Indeed, Zip Recruiter and other job boards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office & Teams.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Operations Managers to understand requirements and align recruitment with needs.
• Review resumes to identify qualified candidates based on job requirements and skills.
• Conduct phone screens to assess qualifications and cultural fit.
• Schedule interviews with hiring managers and prepare both candidates and interviewers.
• Maintain clear, professional communication with candidates throughout the process.
• Advocate for EWI culture and values to candidates to ensure alignment.
• Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for peak seasons and turnover.
• Collaborate on talent recruitment strategy to enable growth and scalable sourcing.
• Source candidates through internal referrals, job fairs, college partnerships, and networks.
