Job summary

Naturion is seeking a Paralegal to support land acquisition, governance, and cross-functional workflow in our Columbia, IL office. You will draft land options, purchase contracts, and MSAs, while coordinating with title companies and counsel to ensure accurate closing statements and documents.

The role requires experience in commercial real estate and strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of CRE experience, a relevant bachelor's degree, and

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of practical experience in commercial real estate setting, title company, or law firm.
• Familiarity with environmental, land use, or regulatory permitting.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively across stakeholder groups.
• Proven detail orientation and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with multi-tasking.

Responsibilities

• Draft and track land options, purchase contracts, and ancillary agreements.
• Prepare closing statements and documents with title companies and counsel.
• Maintain Option Tracker and Smartsheet workflow; update key dates and deadlines.
• Order title work and manage title work validation; communicate title discovery with internal teams.
• Identify and clear title encumbrances.
• Manage due diligence and closing process for property acquisitions and divestitures, including vendor management.
• Draft contracts including construction contracts, leases, lien waivers, etc.
• Draft and execute MSA workflow process and templates.
• Draft and execute employment, consulting, and non-disclosure agreements.
• Maintain minute books and ownership records for governance.
• Maintain file repository for projects.
• Utilize tools for continuous operational improvement.
• Participate in regional legal meetings and provide task/status updates.
• Conduct basic legal and public records research.
• Assist with other projects as required.
