Job description

Environmental Protection Specialist – Navy Installation Command of PACIFIC MISSILE RANGE FACILITY

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

• Experience applying skills in the analysis, development, implementation, and management of complex environmental protection projects and programs for installations within the Naval Facilities Engineering Command.
• Proven ability to improve and modify existing environmental systems.
• Experience applying extensive knowledge of environmental protection principles to solve complex problems by modifying established methods and revising standard procedures to improve environmental management processes and systems.
• Experience utilizing comprehensive knowledge of the environmental protection laws, regulations, licensing/permit requirements, and precedent decisions that govern environmental operations.
• Experience acknowledging federal, state, and other entities' policies, operations, and environmental parameters to interpret requirements, provide advisory information, evaluate compliance, and recommend changes and control measures.
