Job summary

Weston Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Project Scientist to support environmental investigations, hazardous waste remediation, and emergency response projects that protect public health and the environment.

This role blends field and office work, potentially leading field assignments, collecting samples, evaluating data, coordinating labs, and preparing technical deliverables. Located in Pittsburgh, PA, the position supports a critical project ramping up soon.

Qualifications

• Experience with environmental sampling, field assessments, laboratory coordination, data evaluation, and technical documentation.
• Ability to organize, interpret, and communicate analytical, monitoring, and field data.
• Strong written, verbal, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with or lead environmental investigations, remediation activities, and emergency response assignments.
• Collect and manage soil, water, air, waste, and other environmental samples.
• Prepare field documentation, daily client reports, investigation and removal action reports, work plans, sampling plans, and other technical deliverables.
• Coordinate with clients, laboratories, subcontractors, consultants, and project team members.
• Travel to project sites, including remote locations, for assignments of up to two weeks, sometimes at short notice.
