EnSafe in Houston, TX is seeking an Assistant Project Manager, Environmental Engineer or Geologist for a full-time role. You will join multidisciplinary teams on environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects for a global client base.

The position requires a degree in Environmental Engineering or Geology, and relevant certifications with 5–10 years of experience. Travel up to 20% is expected; strong communication and report-writing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, or related field.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) or Geologist in Training (GIT) certification.
• 5–10 years of environmental consulting or related experience.
• Working knowledge of state and federal environmental regulations, including TRRP.
• OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification or willingness to obtain.
• Strong writing, verbal communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to travel regionally up to 20%, including occasional overnight travel.

Responsabilités

• Manage and perform tasks to support environmental assessment, investigation, and remediation projects, with support from senior technical staff and senior project managers.
• Support the establishment of project-specific scopes, schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Communicate with clients, regulatory agencies, subcontractors, and project stakeholders.
• Oversee field investigation activities, including soil, groundwater, sediment, surface water, soil gas, vapor intrusion, and indoor air assessments.
• Develop and review technical reports, work plans, cost estimates, and remediation strategies.
• Interpret environmental data and collaborate with technical teams to support project objectives and regulatory compliance.
• Manage subcontractors and coordinate project activities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support business development efforts through client relationship management, proposal support, and identification of new opportunities.
• Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and risk management.
• Support professional development of junior staff through technical guidance and project leadership.
• Provide environmental compliance support to senior regulatory specialists, including data collection for permitting and/or registration, data analysis, regulatory compliance evaluation, and assessment.
