Job summary

Tetra Tech is seeking an experienced Environmental Engineer/Project Manager (P.E.) to join our Madison, WI office. The role blends engineering execution with client development, delivering remediation and solid waste projects across Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.

Responsibilities include leading multi-disciplinary teams, managing scope, budget, and schedules, and pursuing opportunities with existing clients while expanding Tetra Tech’s presence in the region.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geological Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years of environmental, solid waste, or related engineering consulting experience.
• PE license in Wisconsin or eligible through comity/reciprocity within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Lead environmental and solid waste projects for municipal and private clients.
• Manage project scope, schedule, budgets, and teams.
• Serve as primary client contact and develop relationships.
• Prepare designs, reports, permits, and cost estimates.
• Mentor junior staff and support business development.
