Job summary

Apex Companies is seeking an Environmental Project Manager to lead projects in Florida, coordinating due diligence, data analysis, and technical reporting. The role requires a strong background in geology or environmental sciences and familiarity with Florida programs.

The position offers opportunities to mentor junior staff, manage field sampling, and support remediation efforts while collaborating with management on proposals and scopes of work.

Qualifications

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field.
• 4+ years of environmental field sampling, data collection, and technical report preparation.
• Florida-specific environmental programs familiarity and South Florida hydrogeology knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Prepare due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) reports and mentor staff through due diligence projects.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret technical data.
• Prepare environmental technical reports.
• Mentor staff through collection of soil, soil vapor, water, and/or air samples.
• Prepare Florida-specific regulatory reports and assist remediation projects.
• Assist with proposals and scopes of work.
• Develop career growth with field and reporting tasks.

Location: Must reside in S. FL. Can work remote out of S. Florida with occasional visits to Miami Lakes office.

Your Responsibilities as an Environmental Project Manager:

• Prepare due diligence (ASTM Phase I/Phase II) reports and mentor staff through due diligence projects.
• Gather, analyze, and interpret technical data.
• Prepare environmental technical reports.
• Mentor staff through the collection of soil, soil vapor, water, and/or air samples utilizing different sampling techniques.
• Prepare Florida-specific regulatory reports, environmental site assessments, and assist projects through remediation.
• Assistance with the preparation of proposals and scopes of work
• Actively develop your own career growth with opportunities to assist with field and reporting tasks.
• Work directly with staff and management-level team members with field and reporting responsibilities.

What we're looking for:

• BS in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, Engineering or other related field.
• Professional license track preferred (P.G. or P.E.)
• 4+ years of experience with environmental field sampling, data collection, and technical report preparation.
• Experience with Florida-specific environmental programs and familiarity with South Florida hydrogeology.
• The ability to successfully multi-task, strong safety awareness, and a good record and understanding of safe work practices.
• 40-hour HAZWOPER certification preferred.
• Light remediation construction experience/hands-on skills a plus.
• Valid driver's license, good driving history and reliable transportation are required.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Sponsorship not available now or in the future.
• Reside in S. Florida
