Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking a talented Environmental Project Coordinator for our Denver or Fort Collins, CO office. You will assist with planning, preparing and executing environmental investigation and remediation work for upstream oil and gas clients in Colorado, working under an AECOM Project Manager.

The role favors hybrid work and can be based in Denver or Fort Collins. Responsibilities include managing projects, mentoring staff, coordinating resources, and ensuring work adheres to schedule

Qualifications

• BS in engineering, geology, environmental science, or a related field; two or more years of site investigation, remediation, project management and business development experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience/education.
• Successful candidate will be required to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Understands site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.
• Responsible for the management of projects and establishes project-specific objectives under the direction of the Project Manager.
• Provides management and guidance to AECOM staff, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Provide mentorship and direction to junior and/or field staff.
• Assist with overseeing and delivering projects in accordance with specifications, budget, and schedule
• Determine and define project scope and objectives.
• Oversee the management of all phases of projects.
• Assist with report preparation and review.
• Predict resource needs and manage resources effectively.
• Provide technical oversight and quality control.
• Provide project updates on a consistent basis to various stakeholders about strategy, adjustments, and progress at the direction of the Project Manager.
• Identify, mitigate, and manage project risks.
• Consistently deliver profit margins as planned.
