Job summary

LJA Environmental seeks a Project Director to oversee business development across the market area, leading a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers. The role includes managing large projects, developing SOPs, and serving as the primary client liaison while driving growth and profitability.

Expert knowledge of regulatory processes and strong leadership are essential. The position emphasizes strategic planning, budget oversight, and mentorship within a 100% employee-owned culture,

Qualifications

Minimum Bachelor of Science; Master’s preferred in related fields.
Working knowledge of CWA, ESA, ASTM and NEPA processes.
Strong communication and ability to build relationships.

Responsibilities

Oversee business development across the market area and lead a team of PMs.
Develop SOPs, review reports, and act as primary client liaison.
Drive financial performance including profitability, budgeting, and forecasting.
Lead proposals, marketing events, and growth with existing and new clients.
Provide technical authority and mentor staff across projects.
