Job summary

The New York Power Authority seeks an environmental program leader to develop, implement, and monitor environmental and safety programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. You will drive sustainability initiatives, manage data analyses, and coordinate with multiple business units.

The role requires strong project management and communication skills, with experience leading teams and integrating complex regulatory requirements across NYPA facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related environmental science/engineering field.
• Masters Degree in Environmental Sciences/Engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of directly related experience in environmental matters.
• Experience as a team or project lead.

Responsibilities

• Provides corporate direction for environmental programs at Authority projects and other programs.
• Perform and provide expertise in analysis of Authority assets and projects.
• Participate in budgeting responsibilities and long-term planning.
• Commit the Authority to permits and authorizations and certify regulatory compliance.
