Job summary

Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Programs Section Manager to provide direction, leadership and technical guidance to Contingent Workers and Employee Owners across multiple Right-of-Way Solutions disciplines. The role supports staff development, career pathing, recruitment and workload management to meet project needs and billable goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Right-of-Way Solutions discipline.
• Minimum five years related professional experience in Right-of-Way Solutions project execution, including leading teams in the field or office, coordinating staff and/or project management.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management and clients.
• Ability to influence, lead and manage change thoughtfully.
• Strong project execution and interpersonal skills with a strategic perspective.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provide direction, leadership and technical guidance to contingent workers and Employee Owners in the Programs Section.
• Manage staffing levels to meet project requirements while maintaining billable goals.
• Conduct annual performance reviews and develop career development plans.
• Assist Department Manager with recruiting, field assignments, development and retention of staff.
• Lead or support department and section meetings and define objectives for Right-of-Way Solutions group.
• Develop standards/guidelines and advance tools/workflows to increase efficiency in office and field work.
