Responsibilities

• Plan and supervise air quality planning activities for the Division of Air Quality.
• Provide technical direction to six staff and oversee personnel matters.
• Draft regulations and grant applications related to mobile sources, air toxics, and greenhouse gas emissions.
• Coordinate regional and national efforts to reduce emissions across sectors (power plants, transportation, industrial, agriculture).

Job description

This Environmental Program Manager II manages and supervises air quality planning activities for the Division of Air Quality, including overseeing 6 technical staff and developing policies and regulations for mobile source, air toxics, and greenhouse gas emissions. The position works on regional and national levels to reduce greenhouse gas emissions across economic sectors including power plants, transportation, industrial, and agriculture. Key responsibilities include planning program implementation, providing technical direction to subordinates, drafting regulations and grant applications, and managing staff personnel matters.
