The Division of Air Quality monitors and regulates emissions to the air. It issues permits to construct and permits to operate air contaminant sources. It maintains emission inventories from business and industry. It develops the State’s implementation plan as required by the Clean Air Act. It adopts new regulations and supports enforcement of existing regulations, and it permits and inspects asbestos removal efforts. Click here for more information about the Division of Air Quality.
This position will manage and supervise air quality planning activities. Duties include but are not limited to: Supervising/managing 6 technical staff and planning activities associated with the regulations for mobile source, air toxics and greenhouse gas emission sources. This position will work on a regional and national level to develop policies and regulations associated with reducing greenhouse gas emissions from all economic sectors including - power plants, transportation, industrial, residential-commercial-institutional, waste and agriculture.
