Job summary

RiseMe is seeking an Environmental Specialist with strong knowledge of groundwater protection principles and regulatory practices. You will review Wellhead Protection plans, provide technical assistance, and communicate determinations to water system owners and operators.

The role involves data entry, interpretation of geologic guidance, and collaboration with state and federal agencies. Travel to sites is expected to support enforcement and compliance activities.

Qualifications

• Broad knowledge of environmental protection principles and practices.
• Excellent writing skills for precise reports.
• Strong oral communication for diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with surveys, inspections and regulatory action.

Responsibilities

• Serve as environmental technical advisor to regulated communities and staff.
• Perform project management to meet program needs and deadlines.
• Research and interpret state and federal environmental guidance for permits and plans.
• Conduct inspections and investigations of facilities and sites and cite violations.
• Prepare documents for administrative and regulatory actions and reports.
