Job summary

AEP Service Corporation is seeking an Environmental Manager of Nuclear Development in Columbus, OH to lead a team in environmental permit, program, compliance and management system activities. You will guide staff, ensure policy adherence, and collaborate with other groups to align with AEP values.

Responsibilities include coordinating permitting and compliance efforts, developing standard processes, and providing technical leadership while planning resources and mentoring staff to reach career

Qualifications

• Eight years of increasing responsibility with environmental management systems, studies, permitting, or compliance activities.
• Bachelor's degree in environmental discipline or Associates + 2 years of relevant experience.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Travel–estimated 10–25% of regular time.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate environmental permitting, programmatic compliance, management system activities.
• Provide technical guidance and leadership for assigned activities.
• Serve as focal point for the section’s activities with leadership for consistency.
• Develop and implement standard processes to optimize group work.
• Monitor conformance to policies and standard processes.
• Engage in development and review of environmental regulations and R&D.
• Plan and coordinate resources for the sub-group.
• Conduct performance reviews and manage personnel administration.
• Provide ongoing coaching and develop staff to meet career goals.
