Job summary

The Environmental Engineer, GS-0819-12, is the installation Environmental Program Manager for the ANG installation and collaborates across the region to guide environmental activities including mishap response, emissions estimates, storm water monitoring, and hazardous materials shipments.

It requires reviewing engineering plans, supervising the Environmental Management Office, budgeting and reporting environmental resources, and ensuring compliance with DoD, AF, ANG and EPA environmental laws

Qualifications

• ABET-accredited engineering program or equivalent in physical science/engineering.
• Coursework in calculus and core engineering sciences (statics/dynamics, etc.).
• Education-to-experience combination that demonstrates fundamentals of engineering.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the single point of contact for initiation, development, and execution of environmental activities.
• Provide guidance on regulatory issues and coordinate plans with installation managers and customers.
• Oversee Environmental Management Office operations and budget planning for environmental resources.
