Job summary

The Naval Research Laboratory seeks an Environmental Engineer to join its Environmental Engineering team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on applying environmental engineering concepts within a federal environment and ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.

Specialized experience at GS-05/10 or NP-02 level is required, including planning, directing, and monitoring contractors and communicating technical information in writing and orally.

Qualifications

• Specialized engineering experience at GS-05/10 or NP-02 pay band or equivalent.
• Knowledge of environmental engineering concepts and regulatory practices.
• Experience planning, directing, and monitoring contractor work.
• Knowledge of Title V of the Clean Air Act, the Clean Water Act, NPDES, and Safe Drinking Water Act requirements.
• Ability to prepare written communications and convey information orally.
