Job summary

Langan is seeking an Environmental Practice Leader in Denver, CO to guide environmental engineering projects and proposals, conduct research and analysis, and supervise field investigations and lab work. You will manage diverse projects, mentor staff, and work with clients to restore blighted properties while protecting the environment.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive regulatory knowledge (EPA, CERCLA, RCRA), and a track record in project and client management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master’s degree preferred.
• 12+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong people, project, and client management skills.
• Knowledge of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
• Excellent public speaking, written, and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses for portions of broader environmental projects.
• Identify and pursue new clients and develop additional work with existing clients.
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff; coach and mentor.
• Supervise field activities and ensure data collection and analyses are correct and on time.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets and deadlines; prepare reports, change orders, invoices.
• Write, edit, and organize reports and proposals.
• Coordinate with other work groups across offices and disciplines.
• Interface professionally with clients, contractors, staff, and project personnel.
• Perform other duties as requested.
