Job summary

Langan is seeking a Practice Leader – Environmental to join its collaborative team in Orlando, FL. This senior role oversees growth of the Central Florida Environmental Practice by identifying projects, supervising investigations, and guiding staff across multiple projects.

You will leverage Langan’s technical leadership to expand the practice and manage diverse client engagements. Key responsibilities include business development, mentoring staff, delivering complex analyses, and ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Hydrogeology, or Science; Master’s degree preferred.
• 15+ years of practical experience with environmental investigations and remediation projects.
• In‑depth knowledge and understanding of EPA, CERCLA, and RCRA regulations.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) required.
• Strong people, project, and client management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the identification and pursuit of new clients, develop additional work within an existing project.
• Provide direct oversight and management of junior staff for specific project assignments.
• Management of junior staff, senior staff, and project managers.
• Manage and deliver on multiple projects and tasks within specific budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Perform complex analyses for specific portions of broader engineering and environmental projects.
• Interface effectively with clients, contractors, subcontractors, staff, and others.
• Supervise field activities and ensure correct data collection and laboratory analyses.
• Organize, write, and edit reports, draft proposals and other documents.
• Coordinate other work groups across locations and disciplines as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested.
