Job summary

Geosyntec Consultants, Inc. in Anchorage, Alaska seeks an Environmental Practice Team Lead to guide a technically skilled group of scientists and engineers.

You will drive project strategy, client development, and delivery across investigation, risk assessment, and remediation initiatives. The role requires senior leadership with 15+ years of environmental consulting experience and Alaska familiarity, plus strong communication and regulatory knowledge (USEPA and Alaska DEC).

Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of direct environmental consulting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of consulting experience in Alaska (preferred).
  • Proven track record of successful client management and business development.
  • Excellent technical leadership of multi-disciplinary project teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced consulting environment, handling multiple project assignments and travel as needed.
  • Detailed understanding of USEPA regulations.
  • Thorough understanding of Alaska DEC regulations (preferred).
  • Current OSHA 40-hr HAZWOPER training and refreshers (preferred).
  • Valid U.S. driver’s license and satisfactory driving record for business travel (required).

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of ten with potential growth.
  • Manage client development and project delivery across investigation, remediation, and regulatory work.
  • Build and maintain client relationships and drive repeat business.
  • Oversee safety, quality, risk, and compliance for Alaska projects.
  • Prepare and review technical work plans, reports, and cost analyses.
  • Coordinate field activities, travel, and fieldwork as needed.
