The Agency of Transportation's Environmental Policy & Sustainability Program in Barre, VT seeks a Manager III to launch and manage sustainability initiatives, develop policies, and coordinate with state and federal partners.

The role requires strong research, project management, and communication skills, with responsibilities including vendor management, policy evaluation, and presenting to the General Assembly.

Qualifikationen

• Associate degree and six(6) years or more of management experience in program development, policy, or budget preparation or related fields.
• High school diploma with eight(8) years or more of management experience in program development, policy, or budget preparation or related fields.
• Note: Some positions may require registration as a Professional Engineer (PE).

Aufgaben

• Establish and execute supporting business processes to implement new program initiatives.
• Complete research and technical analyses for policy recommendations, performance reports, and improvements.
• Manage contractor and vendor procurement, budget, and invoicing.
• Coordinate with Agency staff, other state/federal/local agencies, and stakeholders.
• Inform and advise other Agency program leads, and leadership, on policy development for new programs or initiatives.
• Represent the Agency at meetings with communities and funding partners.
• Support presenting programmatic and funding information to the General Assembly and at public hearings.
• Address media inquiries.
