Job summary

Luse Contracting Group in the Chicagoland area is seeking an experienced Project Manager / Estimator to lead environmental projects, including asbestos abatement, lead, mold, and demolition. You will own proposals, estimates, and contract execution while coordinating with field teams.

The role demands seven years of related experience, strong financial discipline, and excellent communication. We offer a base salary range of $70,000–$100,000, plus a performance-based bonus and a comprehensive

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in asbestos abatement, environmental contracting, or related fields.
• Proven success estimating and managing a substantial annual project portfolio.
• Strong knowledge of abatement methods, containment, labor productivity, waste handling, and safety regulations.
• Financial acumen including budgeting, cost forecasting, and contract administration.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with estimating, field takeoffs, and blueprint reading.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Self-motivated, accountable, and solutions-oriented with teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement.
• OSHA 30 training and asbestos or lead licenses/certifications preferred.
• Associate's degree or higher preferred; equivalent industry experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Identify, estimate, and secure profitable environmental projects, developing competitive proposals.
• Build relationships with general contractors, facility owners, environmental consultants, and industry partners to generate new opportunities.
• Own project financial performance, budgeting, cost-to-complete forecasts, and timely billing.
• Collaborate with field and office teams to ensure safe, compliant execution and on-time delivery.
