OCTA is seeking a College Intern to support environmental cleanup, rail and sustainability planning, and related programs in Orange County. The paid, year-round internship offers hands-on exposure to document review, contract administration, and stakeholder coordination, with mentorship from transportation professionals.

You will gain experience in research, reporting, and project tracking while developing communication and organizational skills in a collaborative, public-sector environment.

Formación

• Currently enrolled full-time college student (Freshman, Sophomore, Junior, or Senior)
• Pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in environmental science, environmental studies, sustainability, urban or transportation planning, public administration, engineering, or related field
• Interest in environmental planning, sustainability, transportation, rail, or public-sector programs

Responsabilidades

• Support day-to-day activities for OCTA’s Environmental Cleanup Program, Rail and Sustainability Planning, and other programs
• Assist with contract implementation, administration, and monitoring of project activities
• Coordinate with internal departments, consultants, public agencies, and stakeholders
• Assist with internal routing, tracking, and review of environmental documents
• Research, compile, organize, and analyze information for environmental projects
• Prepare reports, presentations, spreadsheets, tracking tools, and other materials
• Track project schedules, activities, and deliverables
• Participate in meetings and projects related to environmental planning and transportation
• Learn from professionals across different areas of expertise
