What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) and technical writing in support of permit applications
- Coordinate contributions from a technically diverse team, including GIS and simulations specialists
- Travel for project site visits, typically no more than 10-20% annually
- Provide planning and permitting support for power generation and transmission projects
- Conduct desktop surveys and critical issues analyses

What is Required (Qualifications):
- 3 to 5 years of experience producing or supporting VIAs
- Experience with compliance to state or federal environmental review criteria
- Strong research, analysis, and reporting abilities
- Ability to read and interpret site layouts, topographic maps, and aerial photographs
- A valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience with VIAs required by the National Environmental Policy Act and state environmental quality reviews
- Familiarity with federal agencies' assessment methods for visual effects
- Experience with DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
- Knowledge of shadow flicker analyses using WindPro for wind energy projects
