What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):

1. Produce visual impact assessments (VIA) under the guidance of the Visual Resources Practice Lead
2. Coordinate tasks and contributions from a diverse technical team
3. Conduct project site visits, with travel requirements typically at 10-20% annually
4. Provide general planning and permitting support for power generation and transmission projects
5. Perform fieldwork that may involve walking on uneven terrain and lifting equipment up to 50 lbs

What is Required (Qualifications):

1. 3 to 5 years of experience in producing or supporting VIAs
2. Strong research, analysis, and writing skills
3. Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail
4. Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record
5. Experience in power generation, electrical transmission, or utilities

How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):

1. Experience with VIAs under the National Environmental Policy Act and state environmental review criteria
2. Familiarity with federal agencies' methods for assessing visual effects
3. Proficiency with tools such as DSLR cameras, Autodesk 3ds Max, and Adobe Creative Cloud
4. Experience in shadow flicker analyses for wind energy projects
