Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist to assist with routing and siting of electrical transmission line projects for utilities and independent developers. You will write proposals, develop plans, and help move projects toward closure in a cost-effective manner.

The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, planning, or related field with around 5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher in environmental science, planning, engineering, or related field.
• 5 years of industry experience is desired.
• Experience with routing and siting projects and NEPA documents is preferred.
• Strong writing and communication skills; ability to convey technical information to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks according to approved scopes of work.
• Assist with routing and siting studies for linear and/or renewable energy projects and associated facilities.
• Contribute to business development activities, including proposals and pre-qualifications.
• Participate in Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, procedures, standards and guidelines in the execution of all work.
