Job summary
Stantec Consulting International Ltd. seeks an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist to support routing and siting of electrical transmission projects for utilities and developers.
You will write proposals, develop plans, and help move projects toward closure, with GIS capability and permitting experience a plus. Join a team of environmental professionals dedicated to safety, quality, and ethics, collaborating across US locations and disciplines.
Qualifications
- Experience with routing and siting projects, NEPA documents or similar environmental assessment.
- Capable and confident technical writer.
- Understanding of GIS processes and capabilities (desirable).
- Understanding of permitting for energy infrastructure is desirable.
- Skilled in communication and technical information exchange with diverse audiences.
- Disciplined approach and desire to improve technical performance.
Responsibilities
- Complete tasks according to approved scopes of work.
- Assist with routing and siting studies for linear and/or renewable energy projects.
- Contribute to proposals and pre-qualifications.
- Adhere to Health, Safety and Environment policies in all work.
