Stantec seeks an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist to assist in delivering electrical transmission line routing and substation siting projects for utilities and developers across the United States. You will act as writer and technical support for routing and siting, and help develop proposals, plans, and steps to move projects toward closure.
GIS capabilities are a plus; environmental permitting knowledge is desirable.

Your role as an Environmental Planner/Siting Specialist will include assisting with the delivery of electrical transmission line routing and substation siting projects for investor‑owned utilities and independent transmission developers. In this role, you will participate as a writer and technical support person for routing and siting, and you will also assist with writing proposals, developing plans, and implementing steps to move projects toward closure in the most cost‑effective manner. Geographic Information Systems (GIS) capabilities and/or natural resource permitting experience is a plus. This position can sit in multiple locations across the US.
