Job summary

Stantec is seeking an Environmental Planner to lead multidisciplinary teams in Plymouth, MN, delivering state and federal environmental reviews for diverse projects, including mixed-use, industrial, and transportation sectors.

You will coordinate with agencies, manage scopes, budgets, and schedules while ensuring QA/QC and safety compliance, mentoring junior staff, and engaging stakeholders throughout the project life cycle.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Environmental Planning, Science, or related field.
• Minimum of five years of experience in Minnesota and/or NEPA environmental review, environmental studies, and project management.
• Strong technical writing skills and ability to communicate complex issues clearly.
• Experience in or understanding of consulting industry in a multidisciplinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead multidisciplinary teams delivering state and federal environmental review services.
• Coordinate with agencies, prepare plans, schedules, and budgets for technical studies.
• Manage multiple projects within scope, budget, and schedule; ensure QA/QC.
• Develop client relationships and assist with business development and proposals.
• Mentor early career team members and ensure timely delivery of reports and presentations.
