Jacobs in California is hiring a Career Level Environmental Planner for fast-paced energy infrastructure projects. The role focuses on planning, permitting strategy, and coordination with diverse technical leads to minimize environmental impact while meeting client needs.

You will work hybrid from a Bay Area office (San Francisco or Oakland) with occasional travel to project sites, leading teams and communicating with clients to ensure high-quality deliverables on schedule and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant planning or environmental field.
• Ability to work independently and within a team on environmental documentation for utility projects.
• Strong relationships with large project teams, clients, and consultants.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support task coordination across multiple projects with technical leads.
• Organize and summarize technical material for projects in California.
• Lead planning and permitting strategy to minimize environmental impacts.
• Represent Jacobs in meetings and communicate status, risks and action items.
