Position Overview

Environmental Planners at SSFM ensure that development projects comply with environmental regulations while supporting responsible, community-focused development. This role contributes directly to minimizing environmental impacts and improving project outcomes across Hawaiʻi.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental laws and regulations
• Support environmental permitting processes and project workflows
• Prepare clear and comprehensive environmental documents and technical reports
• Review site plans and conduct field visits to assess environmental conditions
• Analyze technical information and communicate findings effectively to project teams

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental planning, environmental science, or related field
• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental planning or a similar role

• Strong understanding of environmental regulations and policies
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
• Strong analytical abilities with a high attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
