Job summary

Artheon is seeking talented environmental professionals to join our Civil/Environmental team in East Brunswick, NJ. The role supports diverse engineering and environmental projects in a collaborative, innovative setting.

The position focuses on environmental permitting, fieldwork, and technical reporting, with opportunities to advance skills in ArcGIS and AutoCAD Civil 3D. Salary ranges reflect experience and geographic location.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Ecology or equivalent.
2–5 years of experience in environmental science and permitting.
Experience with wetlands delineations, mitigation, habitat assessments, cultural resources.
Proficient with NJDEP regulations and US Army Corps of Engineers rules.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare and procure environmental permits/approvals for design projects.
Manage workload and shifting priorities.
Conduct field work to support permitting (wetlands delineations, habitat assessments).
Prepare technical reports (Environmental Impact Studies, permit statements).
Review site plans/subdivision applications and compile reports.
Perform desktop reviews using ArcGIS, NJDEP GeoWeb, USFWS IPaC, and related tools.
Coordinate with project managers on scope and schedule.
Interact with clients and regulatory agencies in meetings.
Continue to develop technical knowledge and skills.
