Job summary

Veolia in North America is hiring a Service Manager to oversee safety, regulatory compliance, and operations for the facility as it integrates with Clean Earth. You will lead staff, coordinate with sales, customer service, accounting, and health and safety teams to meet regulatory, revenue, and safety goals, while ensuring proper handling of all waste streams.

Qualifications

• DEA background check required and valid driver’s license.
• PPE requirements include eye protection, foot protection, hard hat, Tyvek coveralls, and respirator.
• High School Diploma or GED; or a Bachelor's degree in engineering or biosciences.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in hazardous waste industry; 3+ years in management.
• Preferred: Commercial B Driver’s License and knowledge of RCRA/DOT regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assigns work to production crews and supervises their activities throughout the shift.
• Audits crews’ performance for quality, quantity, safety conformance and resource utilization.
• Continuously improves health, safety and environmental performance.
• Manages staff with HR, including onboarding, termination, and development.
• Monitors production schedules and coordinates work between shifts.
• Ensures compliance with regulations, permits, and safety policies.
• Oversees plant safety and conducts crew safety meetings.
• Provides on‑the‑job training and instruction to personnel.
• Responds to plant emergencies and implements contingency plans as needed.
• Develops waste profile sheets and coordinates loads per procedures.
