Job Description:

The Environment Monitoring Associate (EM) is responsible for monitoring biological and airborne particulate levels in clean room environments during the preparation, compounding, and filling of sterile injectable drug products.

The EM Associate will receive training on aseptic techniques, sanitization, and gowning procedures. The role requires reading detailed procedures, maintaining clear documentation, and operating environmental monitoring software. Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Within the first six (6) months you will:
  1. Collect environmental and product samples in an ISO 8 environment during extended shifts (8, 10, 12 hours).
  2. Operate monitoring and testing equipment, including software, to compile data.
  3. Prepare supplies and operate autoclaves for sterilization.
  4. Verify and incubate samples, and ensure data accuracy.
  5. Understand and maintain SOPs, and obtain Aseptic Gown Certification.
Six (6) to Twelve (12) months:
  1. Achieve gown certification for ISO 7, 6, and 5 environments and complete related training.
  2. Review and update SOPs, assist in investigations, and review environmental data.
  3. Train others and obtain 'train the trainer' certification.
Twelve (12) to Twenty-four (24) months:
  1. Cross-train on sterile filling lines, maintain certifications, and lead training programs.
  2. Participate in environmental investigations and data analysis.
  3. Support resource evaluation and SOP updates.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma required; associate degree preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office required.
  • Ability to read procedures, communicate effectively, and work independently following strict procedures.
  • Physical ability to perform gowning, lift up to 25 lbs, and stand or sit for extended periods.
Shift:

Weekday days, Monday-Wednesday and every other Thursday, 5:00 am - 5:30 pm.

Compensation & Benefits:

This is an on-site, full-time position in Spokane, WA.

Starting wage: $22.98/hr, with opportunities for growth, promotion, and annual raises. Shift differentials are available:

  • Day shift: 2.5%
  • Night shift: 10%
  • Weekend day shift: 12%
  • Weekend night shift: 15%
