Pace Labs in Pittsburgh, PA is hiring a Scientist 1 to join our environmental testing laboratory. This is a full-time, onsite role working Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, performing hands-on analysis of water and bacterial samples to support safe and healthy communities.

You will use established microbiological methods and instruments such as MALDI-ToF, document results meticulously, and help maintain lab equipment and records while contributing to a culture of quality and safety.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or other science related degrees or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work effectively in a laboratory environment and maintain accurate records.
• Experience with basic analysis of bacterial cultures is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze water and viable bacterial samples using established microbiological methods.
• Work with instruments such as MALDI-ToF and more.
• Review and interpret the results from the sample analysis.
• Accurately document observations and results to maintain high-quality, organized laboratory records.
• Clean, maintain, and calibrate laboratory instruments and equipment.
